Carranza, a forward from Oncativo, Argentina, joined Inter Miami CF via transfer from Club Atlético Banfield in July 2019, becoming one of the first two players ever signed by the Club.
Inter Miami CF Sporting Director Paul McDonough referred to him as “a very grounded player with an impressive work rate. He’s the player that strives to score goals and is very good in the box.”
He moved to Buenos Aires at 13 to join Banfield’s Academy. Carranza went on to make 46 senior team appearances for Banfield, registering 10 goals and two assists in the process.
He has also represented Argentine youth national teams across different levels, featuring for the U-17s at the 2017 South American Championship in Chile. He also made two appearances for the U-23s, scoring a goal against Colombia.
