The Venezuelan U-20 captain was signed by Inter Miami in August 2019, becoming the third player ever signed by the Club. He is a player who has played as both a defensive midfielder and center back.
The left-footed player spent the 2018-19 season on loan with Juventus. Makoun made 21 appearances for the Juventus U-23 team, appearing in 13 regular-season matches along with seven in the UEFA Youth League and one in Copa Italia, scoring three goals in the process.
Born in Valencia, Carabobo, Makoun joined Zamora F.C. in Venezuela’s first division in 2016 and made 35 senior appearances across all competitions, including 22 regular season matches, nine in Copa Venezuela as well as a pair in both Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
The Venezuelan international, who also holds Belgian citizenship, captained Venezuela’s U-20 team that reached the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup final, where the Vinotintos fell 1-0 to England.
