Inter Miami announced today it received approval from MLS to return to full team training. The mandatory sessions will take place at Inter Miami CF Training Center this week, nearly three months after the initial training moratorium was instituted.

“After three months of uncertainty, we are back to full team training,” said Managing Owner Jorge Mas. “We promised an exciting and aggressive style of play, being back on the field brings us one step closer to making good on that promise."

Inter Miami maintained its commitment to building a world class club throughout the pause in action. The return to full team training marks a significant milestone in pursuit of these goals.

“We are very happy to be able to count on all the players, to be able to have everybody train together, to be able to share the field, to play, to pass the ball and enjoy it all together,” said Head Coach Diego Alonso. “We are really happy with the start of this new phase.”

“The players are excited to be able to do important things with this Club. We have to nourish our winning mentality and our ambitions day by day as we seek to fulfill our shared dream and make it a reality.”

“What I hope to see from our players is what I have seen so far. Full commitment, leaving everything out there for teammates, leaving everything out there for the shirt, for the city and giving our maximum. That way everything will surely be much simpler.”

With full team training set, the next milestone for Inter Miami is a return to competitive play. On June 3rd, MLS and the MLS Players Association reached an agreement on a plan to resume the 2020 season with a tournament in Orlando. Full details, including specific dates and competition format for the tournament, are expected to be revealed in the near future.

“We need to prepare well for what's coming, for the tournament we're going to have in Orlando. We’re preparing for the season with great enthusiasm,” added Alonso.

Alonso’s message to Inter Miami fans excited to see their team return to action was simple.

“We’re also very eager to be able to play and give the fans all the triumphs we can.”
