On Tuesday, July 12th, 2022, students, statisticians, developers, and engineers will take part in the first annual Inter Miami CF Sports Business Hackathon, presented by StellarAlgo.

Teams accepted to the Hackathon will leverage their talents and compete against one another to build tools to solve real world problems that Inter Miami CF but the sports business as a whole are currently facing.

At the end of the allotment competition time, their teams will have the opportunity to present their works to a panel of expert industry judges in addition to an audience of club personnel, media, invited guests, and the other competitors.

Prizes will be awarded to the top teams that will include:

Grand Prize:

  • A Pair of XBTO NW Club Tickets to the July 13th Match for Each Winner
  • Watch IMCF team warm ups from a VIP field level location
  • Group Photo on the Field
  • Link to purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate
  • $100 Team Store Gift Card per winner (Not to exceed $600 for the team)

· 2nd Place & 3rd Place Team:

  • A Pair of Complimentary Sideline Tickets for Each Winner to the July 13th match
  • Link to purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate


The top finalists/award winners will be selected based on the following criteria. Criteria are subject to change on the discretion of the judges

Originality and creativity of analysis – 25%

Strategic and practical implementation – 25%

Code/analysis scalability and organization – 25%

Effective communication and summary of results – 25%


The theme for the club’s inaugural Hackathon will be unveiled during the opening ceremonies and center around translating data insights into meaningful business outcomes via utilizing ticketing, merchandising, customer relationship, and marketing channel attribution data to determine how to best grow, engage, and monetize a passionate fan base.
