MIAMI (September 25, 2019) - Christian Makoun has been called up to U-23 Venezuelan National Team for friendlies in preparation for the upcoming Pre-Olympic tournament in Colombia in January 2020. He will represent his country in matches against Brazil and Bolivia.
Venezuela will face the U-23 Brazilian National Team on October 10 at the Estadio dos Aflitos in Brazil, and the U-23 Bolivian National Team on October 15 at the Estadio Olímpico in Venezuela.
Makoun was signed by Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami in August 2019, making him one of the club’s first signings and founding members. He joined from Venezuelan club Zamora FC, where he returned on loan until the start of Inter Miami CF’s inaugural pre-season at the beginning of the new year.
Makoun has previously made appearances for the Venezuelan U-17 and U-20 teams, including leading the U-20 team to the final of the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
