Matías Pellegrini is on the path to recovery after a muscular injury kept him sidelined for over two months.
He returned to training with his teammates at Estudiantes de La Plata where he remains on loan until the kickoff of Inter Miami CF’s inaugural preseason in 2020.
Pellegrini will be fit to return to the squad for the upcoming Round of 16 fixture in the 2019 Copa Argentina. Estudiantes de La Plata will face Sportivo Estudiantes on Thursday Oct. 10 at the Estadio Julio Humberto Grondona.
A win would put Pellegrini and Estudiantes through to the quarterfinals of the Copa Argentina. Their next Argentine Primera División fixture will come on Oct. 21 against Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero.
Pellegrini has made four club appearances during the 2019 season, scoring one goal.
The official dates for Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami's inaugural preseason will be announced at a later date.
