This Week in Preseason: Week Four Preview

Week four of Inter Miami’s inaugural preseason has arrived. The team’s worldwide debut looms closer each day and the players are fully focused on being prepared for the historic date. This week, the players will train at the Club’s new state-of-the-art training complex, the Inter Miami CF Training Complex, before traveling to St. Petersburg Friday afternoon, where the team will play its first friendly match open to the public on Saturday.


Monday – Tuesday


The team, which scrimmaged for the first time at the Inter Miami CF Training Complex in Fort Lauderdale on Friday afternoon after returning from their week training at IMG Academy in Bradenton, will continue their preseason preparations at the facilities. This week marks the first-ever full week of training for the players at the Club’s new training complex. 


Wednesday


Inter Miami will face New York City FC in a closed-doors training scrimmage at the Inter Miami CF Training Complex. 


Friday 


After a recovery day on Thursday, the players will have a final training session for the week at Inter Miami CF Training Complex before hitting the road for the final phase of preseason in St. Petersburg that afternoon.  


Saturday


The day will start off with a closed-doors training scrimmage against Philadelphia Union at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg. Later on in the afternoon, the team will play its first-ever friendly match open to the public against Philadelphia Union at the 2020 Suncoast Invitational. The match will also take place at Al Lang Stadium and will start at 4 p.m ET. Fans can attend the 2020 Suncoast Invitational matches for free and without a ticket.
