Altered Logo for COVID19

Inter Miami CF Alters Logo to Embrace Social Distancing

In the midst of a global pandemic and a nationwide pause on professional sports, Inter Miami CF has altered the club’s logo to separate the iconic great white herons, which are normally interlocked representing unity in our community, across its digital platforms to encourage social distancing.

“COVID-19 has stopped the world in its tracks and as a result it has never been more important to heed the advice and direction of the authorities to stand for unity and participation in social distancing,” said Inter Miami CF VP of Community Engagement Chris Allan. “Inter Miami CF wants to leverage the reach of our Club, players and ownership group to amplify and share this message with those who follow us in South Florida and around the world.”

Inter Miami, MLS’s newest team, is committed to bringing world-class fútbol to a world-class city. The Club made its MLS debut on the road on March 1 against the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) at Banc of California Stadium, and looks to play its first-ever home game in front of its fans at the new 18,000 capacity Inter Miami CF Stadium in Fort Lauderdale as soon as authorities have cleared the league’s return to play.

MLS announced last Thursday that it was extending the suspension of all matches, with a target return date of May 10

In addition to altering its logo in the name of social distancing, Inter Miami will also bolster its newly-released membership app with unique content from players and technical staff, giving fans an inside look to how the team continues to prepare and spend their time until the return of the world’s game to South Florida.
