Rodolfo Pizarro: “I’m very excited and eager to take the next step”

Pizarro individual workouts

Inter Miami players carried on with voluntary individual workouts at Inter Miami CF Training Complex for the third week since returning to work at the facilities. Mexican international and Club Designated Player Rodolfo Pizarro and midfielder Victor Ulloa shared their excitement at being back on the Club’s training grounds and participating in intense training sessions assigned by the coaching staff.

“Very happy to finally be here at the facilities, to be able to train, step onto the field and be with my teammates,” said Pizarro. “The workouts have been very heavy, very hard. In the end, it’s what we have to do, take this as a preseason and get the most out of it and be much stronger than the other teams the day we have to compete.”

“I’m happy to be back on the field finally after a very long time. It feels great just to step on the field and to see all the guys, to work from afar, talk to them a little; it feels good to be back,”  added Ulloa. “The work that we’re putting in here is quality and I feel like we’re heading in the right direction.”

Both Inter Miami midfielders also expressed that they feel safe with the measures in place at the Club’s facilities, as well as being satisfied at inching closer to the return of competitive play.

“It feels good. I think the most important thing for us, the players, is our safety and health and I feel the Club and the league have done a great job in putting the protocols, doing the right things and putting precautions in order to keep us safe. We feel good so far and hopefully, we can progress to playing with the ball and our teammates,” declared Ulloa.

“We know that MLS is taking care of us in every way. The Club has also had all the necessary measures in place to take care of us, so that we are protected and we feel safe. I’m very excited and eager to take the next step,” highlighted Pizarro.

Lastly, Pizarro and Ulloa showed their appreciation for healthcare professionals and frontline workers who are keeping communities safe during the pandemic.

“They’re the true heroes. I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart for all the work they’re putting in,” said Ulloa.

“I want to say thank you from the whole team and from people all over the country, from all countries. Thank you for doing your job, for not resting and for making sure that we are safe and healthy,” expressed Pizarro.
