As the month of April comes to a close, let’s jump right into the Players of the Month selections as we recognize three young stars from Inter Miami CF Academy presented by Baptist Health for their hard work and bright performances in April.
Let’s get started with the youngest player on our list, as we recognize U-13 defender Kaeden McDowell for being named as April’s Player of the Month.
“In the last month Kaedan has really grown into his position, his place on the team, and his place in the club as a young professional. He is the epitome of what coaches in the youth sector want to experience,” said U-13 team Academy head coach Gibran Tevar. “We hope he continues this path and garners more success as we close out the season.”
Now moving onto our Academy’s mid-level age groups, it was U-15 player Cai McLean who got selected as Player of the Month for the month of April.
“Cai not only earned his full time status with U-15 team of Inter Miami after being in a training player status with the team, but he also was a top performer during the GA Cup. His composure on the ball and solid 1v1 defending were crucial for the team’s success,” preached U-15 team Academy head coach Pedro Cavalcanti. “We are very proud of Cai and excited for his bright future.”
Last but not least, as we reach the end of our April Players of the Month list, U-19 defender Gabriel Velez also got the nod as Player of the Month.
“Gabriel has been a member of our academy since day one,” stated U-19 team Academy head coach Victor Pastora. “Over the years, Gabriel has really matured into a great young man, he has become a top player in his position and advanced academically. He has committed to NC State and is currently training with our MLS2. We congratulate Gabriel and his family for his accomplishments and wish him the absolute best in life, school, and football.”
