Tournaments, Tournaments, Tournaments! The past few weeks have been filled with opportunities for the Inter Miami CF Academy presented by Baptist Health to compete. Some of our academy teams participated in the Copa Rayados International, in which two teams would go on to win titles, and less than a week later, the Academy traveled to the Generation adidas Cup Winter Event, where they faced off against other strong MLS Next Clubs. Now, Inter Miami’s youngest group has an opportunity to showcase its skills on the pitch in El Arbolito Cup.
El Arbolito Cup is set to run from today to Sunday, December 10-12. Coordinated and put on by Austin FC, the competition will include U-12 Academy teams from seven different MLS Clubs.
Over the course of three days, each team will play four 9v9 matches at St. David’s Performance Center. The Champion will be crowned at the Cup’s conclusion on Sunday, December 12. There will also be off-field activities, such as three virtual coaching education sessions. These will be led by MLS club academy staff in partnership with the South Texas Soccer Association and will take place the week of the tournament.
The participating MLS clubs in the tournament are Austin FC, Atlanta United FC, the Colorado Rapids, Houston Dynamo FC, the New York Red Bulls, Inter Miami CF and the LA Galaxy. Notably, Inter Miami will have two U-12 teams competing in the tournament.

GA Cup Winter Event Recap
Our U-17 and U-15 teams returned from last weekend’s Generation adidas Cup Winter Event success in hand, as both teams finished unbeaten and atop their groups.
