For the second year in a row, the Inter Miami CF Academy presented by Baptist Health is participating in the Patterson Cup youth tournament. The Academy’s U-12, U-13 and U-14 sides are currently representing the Club at the competition ongoing from June 7 to 11 at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri.

Last year, our Academy enjoyed a successful participation in the previous edition of the tournament, as the U-12 side was crowned Silver Division champions, the U-13s won the Bronze Division and the U-14 team finished runners up in the Gold Division.

U-12

The U-12 side was in group A alongside Sporting Kansas City, RSL Arizona, Chicago Fire and Atlanta United.

U-13

Our U-13 Academy team took on Chicago Fire and Austin FC in Group D of the competition.

U-14

Lastly, the U-14 side was in Group D alongside FC Dallas, RSL Arizona, and Chicago Fire.

Day 3 & 4 of Patterson Cup Outlook

After the initial days of tournament play and the rest day, teams will have the opportunity to compete in the semifinals and consolation games on day 3 of the Patterson Cup.

The U-12 bracket features Inter Miami in one of the semifinals against Atlanta United.

In the U-13 age bracket, the Academy’s team will compete in the consolation bracket on day 3 and 4 of the competition, with the team set to first face the Portland Timbers on day 3.

Finally, the U-14 team will also be competing in the consolation bracket, with the team set to take on Nashville SC in day 3 of the tournament next.

Across all age groups, Sunday, June 11 will mark the conclusion of the tournament. That day, the final of each category and last round consolation games will take place before the medal ceremony ends the festivities.
