Academy Update: Special Send Off Ahead U-15s and U-17s Participation in 2024 Generation adidas Cup

The Inter Miami CF presented by Baptist Health is heading upstate to compete in the highly anticipated 2024 Generation adidas Cup at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, from March 30 to April 7. The premier international youth competition will showcase talent from every MLS academy alongside representatives from an unprecedented 49 club academies hailing from a remarkable 15 countries across four continents, with Inter Miami’s U-15 and U-17 teams representing the Club. 

For the group stage, Inter Miami’s U-15s are part of Group I alongside Belgian side KRC Genk, the Philadelphia Union and FC Dallas. Our Academy’s U-17s, meanwhile, will be facing Colombian club Atlético Nacional, Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake in Group B of their respective age group. Additionally, Inter Miami CF II will be playing a 2024 MLS NEXT Pro regular season match at the 2024 Generation adidas Cup, with the team taking on Orlando City B at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 2.

Ahead of the highly anticipated competition, our Academy’s U-15 and U-17 boys had a special send off with Academy First Team products Noah Allen, Benjamin Cremaschi, Ian Fray, Tyler Hall and David Ruiz, to motivate them ahead of one of the most important competitions of the season. Notably, First Team Homegrown players Allen, Israel Boatwright, Cremaschi, Hall and Santiago Morales competed at the Generation adidas Cup during their Academy days.  

“We’ve all been there. So, we want to wish you guys luck and hope that you guys do well,” said current First Team midfielder and former Academy standout Cremaschi.

“Play with confidence. That’s the most important thing that’s going to help you guys get far into the tournament, that and playing as a family are the most important things,” added First Team defender and former Academy star Hall. 

Additionally, co-owner David Beckham, made an appearance after training to wish the teams the best of luck at the competition.

“I know you’re heading out to the Generation adidas Cup… I was lucky in my career that I won most trophies - the European Cup, the Premier League, LaLiga - and the one trophy that I loved winning more than anything was the FA Youth Cup,” said Beckham. “Enjoy it, win, play hard and just have fun.”
