With Nu Stadium set to open its doors to fans for the Club’s stadium opener on April 4, excitement and anticipation take center stage. Ahead of the historic occasion for Inter Miami CF, Designated Player and striker Germán Berterame visited his new home for the first time.
Following his arrival, Berterame walked up the iconic grand staircases leading into the 360-degree, open-air concourse with panoramic views of downtown Miami and the Miami Freedom Park District to enjoy views.
"There you have it. The stadium is enormous… When I traveled to Mexico I saw it, I took a picture of it from above. It looks so beautiful," said the Mexican International striker in his first visit to Nu Stadium. “Sometimes you’re speechless when it just keeps getting more and more beautiful. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun to come to the stadium.”
Berterame then praised the electrifying energy at the Club’s home matches, which is powered by our loyal fans, La Familia, who will be making Nu Stadium bounce week in and week out with the best atmosphere in the league. The Mexican international forward also took time to meet and snap some pics with a group of loyal Inter Miami Season Ticket holders and members of La Familia.
“It's a club I've come to see many times as a fan, and I was always drawn to the people and the atmosphere surrounding it—it's something beautiful,” highlighted Berterame. “La Familia is a very powerful word because it means we all share the same goal. It creates a wonderful family atmosphere, the weekend arrives and you go to the stadium with your grandfather, your father, or your son. We'll celebrate many goals together in this great stadium…
"I know the fans will always be there, through thick and thin. That's a great credit to them. We on the field will always give 100%, and we hope to enjoy many happy moments together, and in the bad times, to be a family too. I'm very excited to see you all together."
