Called Up: Academy Player Brandon Bent Called Up to Jamaican U-17 National Team

Inter Miami CF Academy player Brandon Bent has been called up by the Jamaican U-17 national team for a training camp leading into the 2023 Concacaf U-17 Championship.

The Concacaf U-17 championship will take place in Antigua, Guatemala and Guatemala City from Feb. 11 to Feb. 23, and serve as an opportunity to qualify for the 2023 U-17 FIFA World Cup in Peru.

This will be Bent’s first youth international call up since joining the Inter Miami Academy.

In 2022, Bent featured for the Inter Miami Academy U-15 team at the club level, which he helped guide to a successful campaign. The young player featured for the team as it claimed the MLS NEXT Cup title.

Bent is among a growing list of current and former Inter Miami CF Academy players to be called up to a national team, including: Noah Allen, Nicholas Almeida, Tyler Austin, Edison Azcona, Logan Batiste, Israel Boatwright, Benjamin Cremaschi, Justin Ellis, Tyler Hall, Santiago Morales Daniel Pinter and Felipe Valencia, among others.
