Called Up: Benjamin Donato and Sebastian Otero Called Up by Puerto Rico for 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup Prelims

Inter Miami CF Academy players Benjamin Donato and Sebastian Otero have been called up by Puerto Rico’s senior national team for a training camp from June 10 to 17 at the Florida Blue Training Center and for the Prelims of the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup.

Puerto Rico is set to face Suriname in the 2023 Gold Cup Prelims on Saturday, June 17 at 7 p.m. ET at DRV PNK Stadium.

This marks the first international call up for both Donato and Otero since joining the Inter Miami Academy.

At the club level, both players currently play for the Academy’s U-19 side.

Donato and Otero are among a growing list of current and former Inter Miami CF Academy players to be called up to a national team, including: Noah Allen, Nicholas Almeida, Tyler Austin, Edison Azcona, Israel Boatwright, Marco Cantalapiedra, Benjamin Cremaschi, Bryan Destin, Justin Ellis, Gabriel Florentino, Victor Fung, Tyler Hall, Cadriano Marsh, Santiago Morales, Kai Nesfield, Daniel Pinter, Adrián Rosario, David Ruiz and Felipe Valencia, among others.
