Called Up: DeAndre Yedlin Called up by United States for FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

Inter Miami CF defender DeAndre Yedlin has been called up to the United States Men’s National Team for its final fixtures as part of the Concacaf Qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. 

The team will play on the road in its first match, facing Mexico at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Thursday, March 24 at 10 p.m. ET. The USMNT will then host Panama at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, March 27 at 7 p.m. ET, before traveling to the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica to face Costa Rica on Wednesday, March 30 at 9:05 p.m. ET in its last matchup of the Concacaf Qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. 

Yedlin has earned over 70 caps for the United States thus far, including multiple appearances during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, 

The right back made his debut for Inter Miami in the season opener on Saturday, Feb. 26, starting and playing the entire 90 minutes. Yedlin recorded his first clean sheet with the team in the match, winning 67% of his aerial duels in the match. He has gone on to start and play every minute of the team’s three matches this season. 

Yedlin will be a part of Inter Miami’s squad as the team travels to Ohio to take on FC Cincinnati for the first time this season on Saturday, March 19 at 1 p.m. ET.
