Inter Miami CF II and Academy forward, Bryan Destin, has been called up to join the Haitian U-17 national team for the Concacaf U-17 Championship. The tournament will take place in Guatemala from Feb. 11 to 26 and offer the top four teams qualification to the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru.

Haiti resides in Group H, alongside Honduras, El Salvador, and Suriname. The matches will be played at the Estadio Pensativo in Antigua. The schedule will go as follows:

  • Sunday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. ET - Haiti vs. El Salvador
  • Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. ET - Suriname vs. Haiti

Destin, 16, was last called up for the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship, where he was the youngest player at the tournament and started three out of Haiti’s four matches in the competition.

At the club level, the forward made his debut with Inter Miami II on Jan. 9, 2022, entering as a second-half substitute in the team’s MLS NEXT Pro road game against Columbus Crew 2.  He supported the team throughout their playoff campaign and until a draw against Philadelphia Union II in Aug. 2023. Previously, Destin led the Academy U-17 team to the semifinals for the Generations adidas Cup in April 2022.

Destin is among a growing list of current and former Inter Miami CF Academy players to be called up to a national team, including: Tyler Hall, Santiago Morales, Victor Fung, Adrian Rosario, Noah Allen, Nicholas Almeida, Tyler Austin, Edison Azcona, Logan Batiste, Israel Boatwright, Benjamin Cremaschi, Justin Ellis, David Ruiz and Felipe Valencia, among others.
