Multiple new faces could be spotted at Inter Miami CF Training Center as the club announced the addition of three players to its roster this week. Recently signed striker Leonardo Campana and winger Emerson Rodríguez were seen on the pitch today for their first time since their official announcements. Brek Shea, meanwhile, returns to the team for a third consecutive year, having joined the team in its inaugural season in 2020.

After Thursday’s training session, the trio shared their excitement about being a part of this newly revamped Inter Miami and previewed what fans can expect this upcoming season.

“Truth is I'm happy. I’m thankful to God for the beautiful opportunity he gave me of being here, at these pitches, these great facilities and at this beautiful stadium. Miami is beautiful, everything at Inter Miami is beautiful and I’m just very grateful,” commented Rodríguez.

“I come with the desire to compete, to win a spot on the starting line-up. I think I will give the team and my teammates tranquility. I am going to bring other qualities as well, such as speed and agility, and goals and assists,” added the 21-year-old Colombian winger.

Ecuadorian international Campana spoke about what he looks forward to about being a part of the club and what he hopes to accomplish in his time with the team.

“I am super excited to be here. When they called me, I didn’t doubt it for a second, not only because it’s Miami, but because of the institution and the mentality they have. I think it’s a winning mentality and truthfully I think this team is being built well, with young people, with people that have experience such as Gonzalo [Higuaín] and Brek [Shea], and others. The truth is the coach and staff have implemented a winning mentality and that's what we are looking for,” he said.

“Well, the team goes first. The team has to do well. The most important thing for me is that the team wins and that we do well. I will give it my all, day after day, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I love what I do and I am here to work hard for this organization.”

Shea, meanwhile, reflected about returning to the team for another year after having a strong presence last season and the new names on the roster.

“I’m happy to be back. I like being here, I like this team, I like this organization, I just do what I’m asked like I am normally. If I’m asked to be a role player, I’m a role player. If I’m asked to come on the bench, I come on the bench. If I’m a starter, or whenever I get subbed in, I’m going to give everything I have everytime I’m on the field,” said Shea.

“It’s been great, everyone has a lot of energy, excited. I’ve been impressed by a lot of guys. They definitely have a lot more energy, a lot of bite, a lot of hunger, so it’s exciting,” he concluded.
