He rejoined his alma mater, where he was a member of two of the program's five national championship winning teams, following 10 seasons as a head coach elsewhere. The University of Miami will begin the 2022 season on Saturday, September 3 against Bethune-Cookman at Hard Rock Stadium.
The team also returns quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Football Rookie of the Year. He will be joined by a top-15 2022 recruiting class, according to 247 Sports.
The spring game will add to the list of events hosted by DRV PNK Stadium, the home of Inter Miami CF. The 19,100-capacity stadium hosted the Florida High School Football State Championships, and most recently an international friendly between Guatemala and Haiti.
