Inter Miami CF announced today that it has signed defenders Israel Boatwright and Tyler Hall on a short-term agreement from the Club’s MLS NEXT Pro team, Inter Miami CF II. The pair will be available for this weekend’s MLS match on the road against Philadelphia Union at 7:30 p.m. ET at Subaru Park.

Boatwright, 18, earned his spot on Inter Miami II after spending three years with the club on an Academy contract. Notably, Boatwright was named to the 2022 MLS NEXT All-Star team last season after leading the team to the top of the East Division. Boatwright has represented the Dominican Republic at both youth and senior levels, most recently featuring for the Dominican Republic U-20 national team at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina this year in what was the country’s first-ever appearance in a World Cup competition. This will be Boatwright’s second short-term agreement this month, after previously joining the Inter Miami First Team for its match against the New England Revolution on June 10.

Hall, 17, made his professional debut with Inter Miami CF II last season in the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro regular season while being on an Academy contract before signing with the Second Team in March of this year. Prior to signing in 2023, the defender played for the Club’s U-17 Academy Side, notably featuring in the team’s run to the 2022 Generation Adidas Cup semifinals. He also made nine appearances with six starts for the Second Team in 2022, making him the youngest starter in the league at 16 years old at the time. So far in 2023, he has made 11 appearances, registering a total of 832 minutes. At the international level, Hall has consistently been called up by the U.S. youth national teams, most recently featuring and captaining the U.S. U-17 MYNT throughout the 2023 Concacaf U-17 Championship as the team qualified for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup to be played later this year.

Per MLS rules, the short-term agreement allows clubs to sign players on loan from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate for MLS, U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions League, Canadian Championship and exhibition matches.
