Inter Miami CF announced today it has signed its 2024 MLS SuperDraft first-round selection midfielder Yannick Bright to a contract running through the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, with Club options for 2025, 2026 and 2027. The 22-year-old Milan, Italy native, strengthens the team’s midfield options after being picked 15th overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft.

“Yannick is a promising player who stood out to us in the SuperDraft and that has been earning his spot with the First Team through his efforts in the preseason tour and training sessions. We’re excited to sign him to Inter Miami CF and keep him in our system as we foster his development,” said Inter Miami CF Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson.

“I’m thrilled to officially sign for this great Club. This is an exciting opportunity to begin my professional career in a fantastic environment where I have so many resources to learn from. I’m looking forward to giving my all for Inter Miami and growing with the Club,” said Bright.

Bright has previously featured for the Inter Miami First Team throughout the team’s 2024 preseason. Notably, he started in the friendly match against Newell’s Old Boys at Chase Stadium, and came off the bench in matches against the Hong Kong Team and Vissel Kobe during the team’s preseason tour.

The midfielder starred for the University of New Hampshire Wildcats in college. During his time with the Wildcats, he started in 69 games and recorded two goals and eight assists. Bright is coming off a stellar senior year in 2023, during which he started in all 19 games and recorded two assists for the Wildcats. He subsequently earned First Team All-America, America East All-Academic Team and America East All-Conference First Team honors, was a Mac Hermann Trophy semifinalist and was named America East Midfielder of the Year, among other individual recognitions.

Prior to playing for the UNH Wildcats, Bright played for G.S. Arconatese in Italy and made 20 appearances.
