Inter Miami CF announced today the signing of Stefan Borrello as the second eMLS athlete in the club’s history. Borrello will compete in the 2023 eMLS Season as Inter Miami’s representative, and will compete under the gamertag IMCF_Donborrello.

Borrello is a Toronto, Canada native, where he currently resides. Borrello is a long time fútbol fanatic, and has been playing soccer since he was four years old. He enjoys playing as a central attacking midfielder; creating chances for his teammates and occasionally turning an eye to goal himself. Borrello’s favorite Inter Miami CF player is attacking talisman Gonzalo Higuaín, who shares his penchant for scoring and providing inch-perfect passes in the attacking third.

Borrello has owned every FIFA game since FIFA 08; a streak stretching back almost 15 years. In FIFA 22, he was ranked in the top 30 players in North America, and in FIFA21, won the 2021 Canada eNational Tournament.

Inter Miami CF has fielded an Esports athlete in the past two seasons, and will be entering its third competitive season in the eMLS. In the 2021 season, the club made it to the semifinals of the Last Chance Qualifier for the eMLS Cup.

This year, Inter Miami qualified for the club’s first broadcasted event, League Series 2 and made the club’s first eMLS Cup Playoff appearance, winning its first matchup before facing elimination in the quarterfinals.
