As Inter Miami CF takes on FC Cincinnati in a key match on Saturday, July 30 at 8 p.m. ET, the club will also take time to honor the nation’s military members and first responders. The night will be dedicated to the service and the tremendous sacrifice of military service members, first responders, and their families.

The club will highlight and celebrate local South Florida servicemen and women, and will host several activities to show its appreciation. In particular, select members of local Customs & Border Protection will be recognized during the match for their courageous acts in the community.

Another memorable moment will come during pre-match build up as fifty civilians will be sworn into the military, taking their oath before Lieutenant General Mick Bednarek. Bednarek served faithfully in the U.S. Army for 40 years and retired in 2015. A special 7-unit Color Guard will honor their respective branches and our Nation’s colors before the match; historically, this is the first time that Miami Customs & Border Protection will join the military in having their branch’s colors represented.

The Color Guard will flank SFC Jeremy Levens, who is currently serving a three-month deployment in South Florida, as Levens performs the national anthem for the ever supportive fans at DRV PNK Stadium to lead into the evening’s match.

Before the match, the Inter Miami Fan Zone will host an array of tents for military and CBP personnel; fans can also visit a gaming trailer and see custom wrapped Customs & Border Protection All-Terrain Vehicles. Additionally, at select entry gates and spots around DRV PNK Stadium’s exterior, fans will have the opportunity to see custom branded vehicles representing different military branches and CBP.
