Inter Miami CF announced today that it will open the 2022 Major League Soccer (MLS) season on Saturday, Feb. 26 at DRV PNK Stadium against Chicago Fire FC. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET.

The match will be the Club’s first-ever full-capacity home opener, following a closed-doors match against Orlando City SC on Aug. 22, 2020 and a match against the LA Galaxy on April 18, 2021 in front of a limited-capacity crowd due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Inter Miami fans can Join The Heartbeat of the Club and secure their spot for the 2022 season opener by becoming Season Ticket Members. Through the Pink and Black Offer, fans can get priority access to the best seats for the 2022 season for $0 down and also receive two complimentary tickets to a single match during the 2022 season (restrictions apply). The Club will aim to repeat the outcome of the only other previous clash between Inter Miami and Chicago at DRV PNK Stadium, when Inter Miami earned a thrilling 3-2 victory on Aug. 18, 2020. The clash will be the third ever between the teams, with both sides claiming victory at home.

Earlier this month, MLS announced the schedule format and conference alignment for the 2022 season, with each team set to play a 34-game regular season - 17 home games, 17 away games - facing each of their conference opponents two times and playing eight non-conference opponents once. To best align with the 2022 international soccer calendar, the MLS regular season will begin earlier than ever before, kicking off on Saturday, Feb. 26, and run through Decision Day, the regular season finale, on Sunday, October 9. Following three consecutive weeks of Audi 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs action, MLS Cup will be played on Saturday, Nov. 5, more than two weeks prior to the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Nov. 21 and more than a week prior to the player release date on Nov. 14.

The full 2022 MLS regular season schedule, including broadcast details, will be announced later this year.
