International Duty Roundup: Recapping the March International Window

Over the past days, 11 Inter Miami CF players were in action representing the Club abroad with their respective national teams in FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers, UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers, and international friendlies.

Below, let’s take a look at our players’ performances in the latest international window.

Leo Messi and Rodrigo De Paul - Argentina

Inter Miami captain Leo Messi and midfielder Rodrigo De Paul were called up as Argentina took on its final preparation matches ahead of the FIFA 2026 World Cup.

La Albiceleste played two friendlies at home at La Bombonera in Buenos Aires. Argentina first defeated Mauritania 2-1 on Friday, March 27, followed by a 5-0 victory over Zambia on Tuesday, March 31, in a match which featured a goal and an assist from Messi. 

Germán Berterame - Mexico

Forward Germán Berterame represented Mexico for the first time as an Inter Miami player. 

El Tri played out a goalless draw against Portugal at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Saturday, March 28, followed by a 1-1 draw against Belgium on Tuesday, March 31 at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois.

Dayne St. Clair - Canada

Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair received his first Canada call-up since joining the Club. The Reds played two friendly matches, drawing 2-2 against Iceland on Saturday, March 28 and 0-0 against Tunisia on Tuesday, March 31. St. Clair featured the full 90 minutes against Iceland and remained an unused substitute against Tunisia.

Telasco Segovia - Venezuela

Midfielder Telasco Segovia played two friendlies with Venezuela this window. 

La Vinotinto and Segovia first defeated Trinidad and Tobago 4-1 on Friday, Mar. 27, before drawing 0-0 and falling 5-4 in the subsequent penalty shootout against Uzbekistan on Monday, Mar. 30. Both matches were played at Pakhtakor Central Stadium in Uzbekistan.

Ian Fray - Jamaica

Homegrown defender Ian Fray represented Jamaica at the FIFA World Cup 2026 Play-Off Tournament.

The Reggae Boys secured a 0-1 win over New Caledonia on Thursday, Mar. 26  with Fray remaining unused. The defender then featured as a substitute as Jamaica fell 1-0 to DR Congo and just missed out on a spot in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Israel Boatwright - Dominican Republic

Israel Boatwright was called up to represent the Dominican Republic in a pair of international friendlies. Los Quisqueyanos recorded two draws, tying 2-2 against El Salvador on Thursday, Mar. 26 before playing out a 1-1 stalemate against Cuba on Sunday, March 29.

Noah Allen - Greece U-21

Academy product Noah Allen and Greece’s U-21 national team continued their campaign in Group F in the UEFA European U-21 Championship 2025-27 qualifiers. 

Allen played the full 90-minutes in both home fixtures, with Greece defeating Malta 5-0 on Friday, Mar. 27 and falling 0-2 against Germany on Tuesday, March 31.

Santiago Morales and Daniel Pinter - United States U-19

Academy products Santiago Morales and Daniel Pinter joined the U.S. U-19 national team for a training camp and friendlies in Alicante, Spain as preparations continue for this summer’s Concacaf U-20 Championship.

Notably, Morales got onto the scoresheet as USA defeated Wales 4-0 on Saturday, March 28. 

Alexander Shaw - United States U-18

Recently signed Academy product Alexander Shaw received his first-ever national team call-up to compete with the U.S. U-18 national team at the 2026 Torneio Internacional de Lisboa in Portugal. 

Shaw got off to a brilliant start with the team, scoring one of the team’s goals in the 2-1 victory over Iceland on Thursday, March 26.
