Inter Miami CF II (7W-7L-2D, 23 points) will carry on with MLS NEXT Pro regular season action on Sunday, July 31, when it travels to take on FC Cincinnati (4W-12L-0D, 12 points) on the road. Kick off at NKU Soccer Stadium is set for 6 p.m. ET. 

Inter Miami is coming off of a 2-2 road draw against New York CIty FC II on July 24 in which the hosts claimed the additional point following a shootout from the spot. Second-half substitute Shanyder Borgelin scored the team’s goals in the match. 

The team enters the fixture in good form, winning three times and drawing once in its last four matches. The match will also be Inter Miami CF II’s third straight game on the road, with the team hoping to close-out the three-match road trip on a high after beating rivals Orlando City B 1-3 on July 10 and its draw against NYCFC II. Additionally, forward Borgelin is currently on a hot-streak, as his brace in the last match marked the fourth consecutive match in which he scored after coming off the bench. Overall, Borgelin has scored seven times thus far in the 2022 campaign. 

Sunday’s match will see Inter Miami CF II and FC Cincinnati 2 face each other for the third and final time in the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro regular season, with the team claiming a 0-1 win on the road on April 23 and a 4-0 home win on June 9. Inter Miami currently sits fifth in MLS NEXT Pro standings with 23 points, being three points away from the playoffs spots.

Cincinnati, meanwhile, will enter the matchup after earning a 0-2 win on the road against Rochester New York FC on July 22. The Ohio-based are currently in last place with 12 points.
