Match Action

Inter Miami kicked off the match applying pressure in attack and generated danger with opportunities from Berterame and Suárez from the center of the box in the 15th and 19th minute respectively.

Despite the team’s efforts, the match went into the half with a goalless draw.

Toronto took the lead in the second half with goals in the 59th and 62nd minutes.

Inter Miami pushed in search of a comeback throughout the remainder of the match, and cut into the deficit in the 82nd minute with Messi’s 14th strike this regular season. Our captain slotted the ball at the far post from the right end of the box following a line-splitting pass from De Paul. The assist, meanwhile, took De Paul’s tally to nine this regular season.

The 1-2 scoreline then remained unchanged through the final minutes despite Inter Miami’s efforts in attack.
