MATCH RECAP: Inter Miami CF Falls On the Road Against Nashville SC

Inter Miami CF (11W-3L-5D, 38 points) fell 4-1 on the road tonight against Nashville SC tonight in MLS regular season action. Midfielder Telasco Segovia scored the team’s goal this evening at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee. 

Lineup Notes

Inter Miami took the field with Rocco Ríos Novo in goal; Facundo Mura, Ian Fray, Gonzalo Luján, and Sergio Reguilón n formed the back four; Yannick Bright, Casemiro and Rodrigo De Paul started in midfield; captain Leo Messi, Luis Suárez, and Segovia led the team in attack.

Match Action

The hosts opened the scoring in the 17th minute. 

Inter Miami had the chance to equalize from the penalty spot in the 23rd, but the attempt ultimately was saved by Nashville’s goalkeeper. 

The visitors found the equalizer right before the half in the third minute of stoppage time. Messi found Segovia down the left end of the box, where he danced around his defenders before curling the ball at the far post. The strike took Segovia’s tally to three goals this regular season.

Nashville reclaimed the lead in the second half, with goals in the 49th, 56th and 63rd minutes for the final 4-1 scoreline.
