Inter Miami CF II came away with a 3-0 victory against FC Cincinnati 2 this Sunday night at DRV PNK Stadium. The win featured first professional career goals from defenders Tye Barton and Nykolas Sessock, and second MLS NEXT Pro goal for midfielder Santiago Morales.

The team’s starting XI featured Cole Jensen in goal; Barton, Farid Sar-Sar, Sessock, and Israel Boatwright formed the back four; Jack Pymm, Alejandro Flores, Ricardo Montenegro, Morales, and Miles Perkovich started in midfield; with forward Cameron Johnson leading Miami’s attack.

The Herons kicked off their attack with multiple attempted shots from Flores and Perkovich in the first 13 minutes of the match. With this early momentum, the hosts were able to put one on the board first with Tye Barton securing the first goal of the night, marking his first professional career, with a header towards the bottom right corner in the 16th minute. In the 31st minute, Inter Miami II would strike again as Boatwright kept the ball moving on the right side of the box, connecting with Morales in the center before putting one in the back of the net, marking his second goal this regular season. The score stayed 2-0 as both teams entered the halftime break.

Inter Miami II instantly took control of the second half, as Sessock wasted no time curling one into the bottom right corner, marking his first professional goal of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro campaign, coming off a pass from Morales.

The scoreline held until the final whistle with the hosts claiming the 3-0 victory.
