Vorenkamp quickly found Zelter-Zubida, who carried the ball nearly three-quarters of the field before cutting inside and curling a shot into the back of the net. The goal marked Zelter-Zubida’s ninth of the season, while Vorenkamp registered his fifth assist of the campaign.

Atlanta found the equalizer in the 78th minute when Patrick Weah finished with a right-footed strike from the center of the box, sending the ball into the bottom-right corner.

The scoreline remained unchanged through the rest of the 90 minutes.

In the ensuing shootout, Inter Miami II fell 6-5 to Atlanta United 2, with the visitors claiming the additional point.
