Inter Miami CF II (2W-16L-4D, 11 pts) earned a 4-2 victory tonight over the New England Revolution II. A brace from Diego Rey and goals from Matias Acevedo and Idoh Zeltzer-Zubida led the team to victory at Inter Miami CF Stadium.

Match Action

Inter Miami II made a strong start to the match, taking the lead in the 12th minute. Vorenkamp surged down the right flank before delivering a ball into the heart of the box, where Rey finished the opportunity to give the hosts an early advantage.

Inter Miami II doubled its lead in the 26th minute. Abadia worked his way down the left flank and delivered a precise ball into the box for Rey, who calmly finished to complete his brace.

The hosts continued to push for another goal and were rewarded in the 32nd minute. Rey showcased his creativity with a clever backheel to find Acevedo, who drove toward the New England II penalty area before firing a low effort past the goalkeeper to make it 3-0. The goal marked Acevedo’s first for Inter Miami II.

New England II pulled one back just before halftime in the 43rd minute before adding a second goal in the 71st minute to cut the deficit to one.

Inter Miami II responded quickly, with second-half substitute Zeltzer-Zubida restoring the two-goal advantage in the 72nd minute with a strike from outside the penalty area to make it 4-2 and seal the victory for the hosts.
