Inter Miami CF II (4W-10L-2D, 14 points) suffered a 0-3 loss against New York Red Bulls II on Sunday night at DRV PNK Stadium. The match saw Academy player Jack Pymm make his professional debut after coming onto the field in the 63rd minute.

The Herons’ starting XI featured Cole Jensen in goal; Harvey Neville, Tyler Hall, Farid Sar-Sar, Nykolas Sessock manning the backline; captain Abel Caputo leading the midfield along with Cameron Johnson, Lawson Sunderland, and Lucas Meek; and Edison Azcona and Shanyder Borgelin leading the attack.

Both sides opened up the first half evenly matched with equal scoring opportunities, most notably a header attempt on target from Johnson. However, it was Red Bulls who struck first with a close range finish by forward Frank Ssebufu, coming off a right sided cross from defender Dija in the 14th minute.

Inter Miami, however, remained steady and utilized its control of possession to create two scoring opportunities with a long range shot from Caputo and another Johnson header attempt from the right side of the box. Despite the The Herons’ great all-around play, New York’s O’Vonte Mullings put the team’s second in the back of the net with a right footed shot from the center of the box, extending its lead 0-2 before the break.

Minutes after halftime, Red Bulls quickly scored its third of the match after a foul in the box. It was midfielder Ibrahim Kasule who stepped up and converted the penalty. Nonetheless, Inter Miami kept on putting pressure on the visiting team's backline, seeking to shorten the deficit with multiple scoring attempts from Sunderland, Borgelin, and substitute Pymm.

The scoreline held until the final whistle with Red Bulls claiming the 0-3 victory.

Next up, the team will now carry on with more action at home, as Inter Miami II is set to face New England Revolution II on Sunday, July 9 at 6 p.m. ET at DRV PNK Stadium.
