On this day, Aug. 22, in 2020, Inter Miami earned its first win with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Orlando City SC in its first game at DRV PNK Stadium.

Forward Julián Carranza scored his first two goals with the Club as he put in a star performance to kick off Inter Miami’s home campaign.

Carranza opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the match as Rodolfo Pizarro put the Argentine through on goal, with the striker putting in a tidy finish into the bottom left corner of the net.

Orlando leveled the playing field in the 18th minute as Daryl Dike struck a shot into the back of the net after three consecutive attempts on goal.

The tie was short lived for Orlando, however, as Carranza once again stepped up and scored a floated header that soared past goalkeeper Pedro Gallese to give Inter Miami a well-deserved 2-1 advantage in the 23rd minute.

Midfielder Pizarro put the game out of reach as he volleyed a loose ball in the air to grant Inter Miami a 3-1 lead in the 49th minute.

Orlando Midfielder Nani cut Miami’s lead short when he converted a header in the 80th minute. It proved to only be a consolation goal, though, as Inter Miami earned its first MLS victory in it’s DRV PNK Stadium debut.
