Sunday evening saw Inter Miami CF achieve another milestone, as the Club advanced to the Eastern Conference Final of the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time in Club history.

Below we present some of the reactions from our Club owners, staff and players following the historic occasion!

Managing Owner Jorge Mas

“I love to see the passion they're playing with, they're committed as a team and had a fantastic performance. Hats off to the players and the team…

“You look at what we’ve done this year and we’re here to win trophies. We constructed this team for big moments, and I expect hopefully an amazing performance in the Eastern Conference Final.”

Sporting Director Guillermo Hoyos

“We are proud of the team and fully convinced that they will face this final steps with the same passion in pursuit of our objective. Reaching the Conference Final for the first time is a milestone in Inter Miami’s history. The team has shown remarkable ambition throughout the year, competing at the highest level in every tournament: in the Champions Cup, in the Leagues Cup, and in the Club World Cup, where we delivered a historic performance. We are deeply grateful to the players, the coaching staff, and all the staff who support the team every day for their effort and dedication to the club’s continued growth”.

Head Coach Javier Mascherano

“Today, regardless of whether the result had been different, I would’ve been just as proud of how the team played on a very, very difficult field and against a very, very tough opponent. I think today the players showed incredible personality throughout and played a virtually perfect match…

“Now we’ll focus on Saturday, and we’ll try to prepare for the match in the best way possible. We’ll try to make as few mistakes as we can and help the players in every way we can. After that, we have to understand that football belongs to the players, and the match they played today was largely thanks to them.”

Attacker Matías Silvetti

“As a striker, I’m proud to score my first goal wearing this shirt, I’m very happy. We knew it was going to be a match decided by small details. Luckily, we had time to work, and it went very well. The result was mainly due to the good work we did…. We are very motivated to have gotten to where we are and now we are going to focus on what's next.”

Goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo

“We knew it was going to be a tough match, but the boys did very well, they put in a great effort and we are happy… This victory is for the fans who are always supporting us and for our loved ones. We are going to continue working this way.”

Inter Miami will now host New York City FC for the Eastern Conference Final on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. ET, in a match presented by Heineken which will determine who will continue their journey for the 2025 MLS Cup.
