Inter Miami put on an inspired performance to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw against the Philadelphia Union at DRV PNK Stadium.

Following the match, head coach Phil Neville expressed how proud he was of the players’ performance and their level of play. He also wants to ensure that the team can build from this and springboard themselves forward this season.

“I am massively proud of the players tonight. I think we deserved the victory. I thought that their attitudes, their commitment, their desire - everything that you wanted to see in a team, everything that you want to see as a supporter that we talked about yesterday -  I think they gave to the fútbol club,” said Neville.

Neville wants his players to represent a team that the devoted supporters can be proud of.

“I want to see a group that would fight for each other, a group that would fight for the Inter Miami badge, a group that when before the game, after the warmup, and at the end of the game could walk up to the best supporters in MLS and could be proud and I think that’s what they did tonight.”

This message was echoed by midfielder Gregore and forward Robbie Robinson, who want to continue to reward the supporters with inspired and entertaining performances.

“I’ve always said I think we have the best fans in the league. It’s incredible. I remember last year, we went to LA, the first game we had tons of people outside of our hotel. And that sticks with me all the time. They’ve always been supporting us through the ups and downs and hopefully we can give them more to celebrate,” said Robinson.

“The fans have definitely been doing their part. They always come to support us and they never stop chanting. But now it’s up to us to do our part. And I think that once we start doing our part, we want to see a stadium full every single game, but the fans have been absolutely incredible and now it’s up to us to pay it back to them,” said Gregore.
