OnSide, Inter Miami’s own weekly programming hosted by Kaylyn Kyle and Andres Cordero, returns this Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET. This week’s episode will feature an exclusive interview with 26-year-old Inter Miami defender Mikey Ambrose.
Ambrose, a veteran of MLS expansion life having previously played for Orlando City and Atlanta United in their early days, elaborated on what makes Inter Miami stand out among the projects he’s been a part of.
“This one's a little bit different. I would say, because of the culture that the Club brings, the city brings, of really making sure it's part of a family here. And since day one, since I first got here, I just felt welcomed,” said Ambrose. “All the people in the community are very welcoming, very open and it just feels different. At Inter Miami, it's like you're actually coming home and families welcoming you home so it's a cool feeling and it's a good experience.”
Ambrose also touched on how he is maintaining fitness, how he is filling his days during the MLS suspension, assimilating to Miami’s culture, the camaraderie in the Inter Miami locker room, and he even gave a glimpse of a hidden talent.
The show also hosted a second special guest, bringing on Chris Allen, VP of Community Engagement for Inter Miami. Allen provided an in-depth breakdown of many of the Club’s efforts to contribute to COVID-19 relief, including the story of how the partnership with David Guetta for “United at Home” came about.
Lastly, the hosts debuted a new happy hour segment where they ask each other questions about themselves, giving fans an opportunity to get to know Kyle and Cordero better.
