The match will pit Inter Miami against the club from Rosario, the hometown of Martino and Inter Miami star Lionel Messi. The pair came through the youth ranks at the Argentine club. Martino featured for the team over three different stints during his playing career, where he not only made the most appearances of any player in the club’s history, but also played a key role in the titles won in 1988, 1990, 1991 and 1992. Additionally, he had a successful stint as a head coach, winning another title in 2013. Messi, meanwhile, left Newell’s to join FC Barcelona after a productive youth career with the Argentine side. In six years with Newell’s, Messi recorded an impressive record of 234 goals.

Tickets to the Club’s first-ever Concacaf Champions Cup home matchup when the team faces the winner of the matchup between Nashville SC and Moca FC in the Round of 16 of the competition on March 13 at 8:15 p.m. ET are available HERE.
Inter Miami automatically qualified to the Round of 16 of the competition due to its historic 2023 Leagues Cup title. The Club is set for its first-ever participation in the Concacaf Champions Cup, the region's premier club competition, with the aim to conquer more silverware and earn a spot in the coveted 2025 FIFA Club World Cup to be played in the United States.
