As Inter Miami prepares to travel to Columbus, Ohio for the first time in Club history to take on Columbus Crew, here is the team schedule for this week.
Monday - Training
Following the New York Red Bulls game, the Inter Miami squad is looking to bounce back from the away loss as they prepare to head back on the road to face the Columbus Crew on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m ET.
Tuesday - Training, DRVPNK Across America Day at DRV PNK Stadium
The Heron’s will continue to train in preparation for Saturday’s matchup on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
The Club will then unite with AutoNation, the Club’s official and exclusive automotive partner, to fill 2,500 comfort bags that will be distributed to cancer patients. Goalkeeper John McCarthy, defenders Leandro González Pirez and Sami Guediri, and forward Julián Carranza will join the initiative on Tuesday. In addition, Inter Miami CF Managing Owner Jorge Mas and AutoNation EVP and Chief Customer Experience Officer Marc Cannon will also be present.
Wednesday - Off
The Inter Miami CF squad will take a day to rest on Wednesday, Oct. 13, to recover from two days of intense training.
Thursday - Training, Heron Talk: Neville and Marsman; Chile vs. Venezuela and Makoun
Following the off day, the Herons will return to the training facility for another day of practice. Head coach Phil Neville and goalkeeper Nick Marsman will meet with the media to preview the upcoming matchup on Thursday, Oct. 14. Inter Miami CF defender/midfielder Christian Makoun, who is currently on international duty with the Venezuelan National team, could be taking on La Roja at Estadio Monumental David Arellano in Chile at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 14.
Friday - Training and Travel to Columbus
The boys will have one final training session at the facility prior to traveling to the midwest. This will be the first time in team history that it will be taking on the Crew at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio.
Saturday - Columbus Crew vs. Inter Miami CF
Inter Miami CF will be going head to head against the Columbus Crew at their new stadium, Lower.com Field, that opened to full capacity in July 2021, on Saturday, Oct.16 at 6 p.m. ET.. This will be the final match between the two clubs in the 2021 regular season. The game will be broadcast regionally on My33, CW34, UniMás and the Inter Miami App.
Sunday - Off
Following the trip to Ohio, the team will have the day off and look forward to hosting Toronto FC at home on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
