Inter Miami CF fell 0-2 with ten men to LAFC in the team’s second home game of the 2022 season. Despite controlling much of the first half, the Herons conceded the first goal of the match before the conclusion of the first half with LAFC’s first attempt on goal.

The squad still put on a display of courage and tenacity despite being a man down. Defender DeAndre Yedlin expressed that despite the result, there were positives to be noted.

“I’m proud of the team for fighting with 10 men, it’s not an easy thing to do in these conditions. It’s hot, it’s humid, but it’s a game just like last week that we have to learn from. And if we learn, I’m confident we can continue to get better and better. We saw today, we have enough to do well, we just need to sort out the little mistakes.”

Yedlin also asserted that the team’s focus on making adjustments to rectify simple mistakes will produce results for Inter Miami.

“It’s just going back to basics. Especially in the first half, I think we played really well and still missed some simple passes. When you put those simple passes in, and you can build on that, then you’re starting to build a very good team. I think it’s just a lack of concentration, but I’m sure we’ll improve in the coming week.”

Inter Miami faces FC Cincinnati in its second road game of the season on March 19 at 1 p.m. ET.
