Injury Update: Clément Diop
Inter Miami CF today has provided an injury update presented by Baptist Health for goalkeeper Clément Diop. Diop has suffered a right quad injury and is expected to be available for team selection in six to eight weeks.
2018: Signed a two-year contract with the Impact on January 9.
2017: Started 15 regular season games with the LA Galaxy, recording two shutouts… Also started three USL games with the LA Galaxy II… Selected by the Impact in the 2017 MLS Waiver Draft, on December 13.
2016: Started two games with the LA Galaxy in his first MLS season… Made his MLS debut on August 20 at New York City FC… Started three Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup games… Also started 22 regular season games and one playoff game with the LA Galaxy II, in the USL.
2015: Signed with the LA Galaxy II, in the USL, on March 20… Started 24 matches with Los Dos, recording 11 wins, nine losses, three ties, eight shutouts and a 1.12 goals against average… Led the team to the 2015 USL final against the Rochester Rhinos, starting all four playoff games while earning two shutouts… Signed with the LA Galaxy first team in MLS on December 16.
2013-14: Started 16 games with the reserve team of Amiens SC in CFA 2, and two Coupe de France games.
2012-13: Started 20 games with the reserve team of Amiens SC in CFA 2.
2011-12: Served as the backup goalkeeper for Amiens SC in Ligue 2.
Part of the Academy of French club Amiens SC between 2009 and 2011… Previously spent time with clubs ES Vitry and Ivry.
Appeared in one game with the Senegal national team, making his international debut in a friendly on June 5, 2017, against Uganda… Also called up for several 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying games… Previously represented France at the U19 level.
