The eMLS is Major League Soccer’s Professional Esports League and is regarded as the most competitive Esports league in North America. The eMLS calendar consists of three events: League Series 1 (LS1), League Series 2 (LS2) and eMLS Cup. Throughout League Series 1 and League Series 2, every eMLS Athlete will play each other once. An eMLS player who finishes in the top eight of LS1 or LS2 qualifies for a live streamed broadcast on MLS’ Twitch and Twitter Channels. After LS1 and LS2, the cumulative standings from the two events will determine seeding for eMLS Cup. The top 11 players from LS1 and LS2 will automatically qualify for eMLS Cup, while the remaining players will compete for the final spot in the eMLS Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). The eMLS Cup is a single-elimination tournament, except for the Finals which is a two-legged matchup. The top three competitors in eMLS Cup will automatically qualify for the FIFAe World Cup Playoffs.
Inter Miami CF joined the eMLS for the 2021 competitive season of FIFA 21. In the club s first season, Inter Miami’s eMLS athlete IMCF\Pabs finished 18th out of 27 competitors after League Series 1 and League Series 2, putting him in the Last Chance Qualifier Bracket. In the LCQ, he lost in the Semi-Finals. In the club’s second season in the eMLS, IMCF\Pabs finished 10th out of the 27 in League Series 1 and sixth out of 27 in League Series 2, qualifying for Inter Miami’s first live broadcast event in club history. In the League Series 2 broadcast, IMCF\Pabs lost in the Quarter-Finals to Atlanta United’s PauloNetoo. Following League Series 1 and 2, Inter Miami qualified for its first ever eMLS Cup, with IMCF\Pabs qualifying as the ninth seed. In eMLS Cup, IMCF_Pabs won his First-Round Matchup vs. Nashville’s Joksan, before losing in the Quarter-Finals to Toronto FC’s GoalMachine.
The 2023 eMLS Season will consist of three events: League Series 1 taking place in January, League Series 2 taking place in February and eMLS Cup taking place in March. The final dates and locations of the events will be announced at a later date.
