Inter Miami will travel to Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday, Oct. 27 to take on Atlanta United FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Previewing the match, head coach Phil Neville highlighted the importance of finishing the chances as the team prepares to take on a talented Atlanta United FC team.
“These matches have been really tight, they have been like games of chess and we’ve got to make sure that when the big moment comes, we stick it in the back of the net,” said Neville.
Neville discussed the challenge that lies ahead in the last three games of the season while also expressing his belief in the squad to get the job done.
“We’re going to give it our absolute all, we’re enjoying the challenge. The players look like they are really enjoying this challenge. There’s a good spirit amongst the team and the challenge is now to keep the pressure on the teams above us.”
Forward Julián Carranza showed the determined mentality to carry the momentum from the two-win week last week into the final stretch of the season.
“We have three finals left and we are going to fight until the end,” said Carranza.
In terms of the game plan for Atlanta United, Carranza highlighted the hunger within the team to come away with the three points on Wednesday.
“We are going to focus on what we are going to do, which is going there to get the win.”
Carranza concluded by expressing his belief in the team as it pushes for a playoff spot, citing good spirit and togetherness within the squad.
“The team is confident and united right now.”
