Inter Miami CF announced today that it has acquired $100,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money (GAM), from Toronto FC in exchange for defender Aimé Mabika. Inter Miami will also receive up-to an additional $100,000 in GAM if performance-based metrics are met, and retain a sell-on percentage. The deal was agreed to prior to the close of the Primary Transfer Window on April 24.
“This trade gives us additional flexibility to continue to fortify our roster moving forward,” said Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson. “We’re very grateful to Aimé for all of his contributions to Inter Miami, both on and off the field, and wish him well in the future.”
Mabika, 24, was selected by Inter Miami in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft. He went on to spend one season with Inter Miami CF II before signing for the First Team ahead of the 2022 MLS season. With the First Team, he featured in 17 MLS regular season matches, starting 15 of them, and playing 1,205 minutes; he also started the team’s 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs match.
Inter Miami CF would like to thank Mabika for his efforts and wishes him well.
