Fort Lauderdale CF will travel to Breese Stevens Field to take on Forward Madison FC on Saturday, July 24 at 8 p.m. ET. The match will air live on ESPN+.

“We have a lot of respect for Forward Madison. We think they’re one of the top teams in the league. It’s a new place for our guys to go and play, it’s a challenging environment, but this young team is super excited by challenges and we want to make sure we continue to really try and execute what we’re trying to do, impose our identity with and without the ball. When we’ve combined those two elements we’ve put in some really strong performances,” said head coach Darren Powell.

The match will mark a third consecutive outing on the road for Fort Lauderdale. In its last match, the team earned a hardfought 1-1 draw with the Richmond Kickers following extensive weather delays. Mitch Curry scored his fourth goal of the campaign in that match, tied for second on the team.

Saturday’s match will be the second of 2021, and third ever between Fort Lauderdale and Forward Madison, with each previous match ending in a 2-2 draw. Curry also scored in the match against Forward Madison earlier this season, punctuating his first start for the team with his first goal.

Forward Madison currently sits seventh in the USL League One table, one place behind Fort Lauderdale. Madison has compiled a total of 17 points from 12 matches, recording four wins, five draws and three losses. The team has been led by forward Jake Keegan with six goals in 2021.
