Inter Miami this 2024 Regular Season

Inter Miami will enter the weekend's matchup against New England first in the Eastern Conference with 18 points and leading the league in goals with a total 22 goals. Additionally, the team is currently unbeaten in the past four MLS matches (2 wins and 2 draws).

Captain Messi leads the team both in goals and assists this regular season with seven and six respectively, and is second in the 2024 regular season scoring charts and tied for second amongst the league's top assist providers.

Player Records and Milestones

With his brace against Nashville, Messi became the fastest player in history to reach 830 goals, doing so in 1,056 games. Additionally, the assist also saw Messi make MLS history, as he became the first player in league history to record multiple goal contributions in five out of six games at the start of a season. The assist for Messi's first goal against Nashville was from striker Luis Suárez, who registered his fourth assist this regular season. Notably, this marked the 50th time Suárez has assisted Messi in their careers, the most any teammate has ever assisted the Argentine.

Goalkeeper Drake Callender, meanwhile, is currently tied with attacker Robert Taylor as the players with most appearances in Club history with 86 across all competitions and may become the player with most appearances for Inter Miami this weekend against New England.

Previously Against New England Revolution

Inter Miami and New England Revolution have matched up a total six times in the past in regular season action, with both sides claiming three wins each.

Last year, in the first matchup between the sides in the 2023 regular season on May 13, Inter Miami claimed a 2-1 win at home with Homegrown David Ruiz making history, as he became the first Academy product to score a goal for the First Team.

In 2022 the Club achieved another historic milestone in a fixture against the Revs, with forward Leonardo Campana bagging the first hat trick in Club history in the 3-2 win at Chase Stadium on April 9, 2022.

Scouting New England Revolution

The Revs will host Inter Miami after most recently falling 1-0 on the road against Toronto FC on April 20. So far this regular season, the Massachusetts-based side has recorded one win, six losses and a draw for a total four points and sits 15th in the Eastern Conference Standings.
