Third Meeting Against Atlanta in 2023

Saturday's fixture will present reunions for head coach 'Tata' Martino and forward Josef Martínez with their former side. Martino previously served as the head coach of Atlanta United from 2016 to 2018, during which time he led his former club to an MLS Cup title in 2018.

Martínez, meanwhile, spent six seasons in Atlanta, was named MLS MVP in 2018, and was a key part of their MLS Cup winning campaign. The Venezuelan goalscorer scored a staggering total of 98 goals during his run with Atlanta. Martínez has already scored against his former side this regular season, netting twice to help Inter Miami secure a 2-1 win at home over Atlanta in May in his first match against his former team.
