Preview: What to Expect for Inter Miami CF’s FIFA 20 tournament for Coronavirus Relief Efforts

MIAMI, FL (March 28, 2020) - After almost three weeks without play, four Inter Miami CF players return to competitive action today with their participation in Twitch’s Stream Aid 2020, a special event bringing the worlds of gaming, music and sports together to benefit the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund during 12 hours of entertainment.


Narrated by Fernando Palomo, the official voice of EA Sports FIFA and a seasoned soccer analyst for ESPN, fans worldwide can stream the 70 minutes of FIFA 20 action kicking off at 1 p.m. ET for free on Inter Miami CF’s Twitch channel at www.twitch.tv/intermiami_cf.


How the tournament will work:

“Team Heron White”, made up of 26-year-old Designated Player Rodolfo Pizarro and 23-year-old Scottish midfielder Lewis Morgan, will face “Team RosaNegra”, 19-year-old Argentine forward Julián Carranza and 33-year-old midfielder Lee Nguyen. The players will compete in seven, 10-minute long matchups, which include six regular season matches and one title-deciding final.


The winners of each match will accumulate points for their respective teams as well as individually. In the end, the team that claims the most points will take the team championship title, while the two players with most individual points will advance to the final, where a fierce FIFA 20 match will decide who gets the honor of being crowned as the individual champion.

  • No. 3: Pizarro vs. Nguyen 

  • No. 4: Carranza vs. Nguyen

  • Championship: Two players who collect the most individual points
