Inter Miami CF attacker Robert Taylor was named to the MLS Team of the Week for week 14, following his key contributions off the bench to secure the team’s 2-1 win over the Portland Timbers on Saturday night at DRV PNK Stadium.
The Finnish international entered the match at halftime and provided an attacking boost to the squad by scoring his second goal in back-to-back MLS games, both resulting in consecutive victories for the team and helping extend the team’s home undefeated run to six at DRV PNK Stadium across all competitions.
In addition to scoring the eventual game-winning goal in the 59th minute against the 2021 Western Conference champions after calmly finishing Ariel Lassiter’s shot that bounced off the post, Taylor also recorded 81% passing percentage and supported defensively with four duels to seal the win.
Taylor will now join the Finnish national team for its four upcoming UEFA Nations League matches.
This is the seventh time for the season that Inter Miami has been named to the Team of the Week.
