Notes:

  • Inter Miami CF starts its longest trip of the 2022 MLS regular season, which includes two fixtures, with tonight’s match against the San Jose Earthquakes at Paypal Park. The meeting will be the first one ever between the sides.
  • Inter Miami will carry on with MLS action after a thrilling 4-4 draw against FC Cincinnati at DRV PNK Stadium on July 30. Gonzalo Higuaín, who scored the second hat trick in club history, and Chris McVey, who tied the match in the dying moments, netted the team's goals in the match. With the draw, Inter Miami extended its positive run playing at home, having lost only once in its past 10 home games across all competitions.
  • Higuaín was named MLS Player of the Week and to the Team of the Week for Week 23 of the 2022 regular season. The Argentine became the first-ever Inter Miami player, and just the third MLS player this season, to score three goals in the first half of a match. Additionally, Higuaín is Inter Miami’s second MLS Player of the Week nominee this season, joining Leonardo Campana in Week 6, and the only player in club history to earn multiple MLS Player of the Week honors after winning the award in Week 5 of 2021.
  • Defenders DeAndre Yedlin and McVey could become Inter Miami’s first players to reach 2,000 minutes of play this season. McVey has started all 22 of the team’s MLS matches in 2022, while Yedlin has started 21 times.
  • Defender Kieran Gibbs and forward Leonardo Campana return to the starting XI for tonight’s visit to the Earthquakes.
  • Goalkeeper Drake Callender starts in his return to San Jose, where he was an Earthquakes academy player from 2013 to 2016. Inter Miami acquired Callender’s Homegrown Player Rights from the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for the first pick of the second round of the 2020 MLS SuperDraft (No. 27 overall) on Nov. 12, 2019.
  • The match will be broadcast regionally on My33, UniMás and the Inter Miami app, and on the radio locally on 790 AM The Ticket. Fans worldwide can follow live updates including video highlights and stats on the Club’s App. Download and Register your Profile here: https://intermiami.app.link/App.
